As of Friday 13th June 2014 the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 came into force. These are a wide range of measures that give clarification and added protection to both customers and retailers.

The main points are increased price transparency and eliminating hidden charges and costs, banning pre-ticked boxes, fourteen days to change your mind on a purchase, better refund rights, introduction of a model withdrawal form, eliminating surcharges for the use of credit cards and hotlines, clearer information on who pays for returning goods and common rules for all businesses across Europe.

The main areas that are affected on this website are:-

That the period under which customers can withdraw from a sales contract is extended to 14 calendar days. This means that customers can return the goods for whatever reason if they change their minds.

That traders must refund customers for the product within 14 days of the withdrawal. This includes the costs of delivery.

The other main change to the Little Wanderers website is the model withdrawal form which customers can (but are not obliged to) use if they change their mind and wish to withdraw from a contract.

Some of these changes had already been implemented to the website in advance of the above date and some are new. All details, as well as a link to read the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 in full, can be viewed on our Term & Conditions page.
