We are noticing that customers signing up to our Family loyalty card are more and more reluctant to leave their child’s details to be added into our scheme. In a time where your data and that of your household is precious, we fully understand this and there have been several high-profile incidents recently where large organisations have had their customers' data, and even that of their children, breached.

While we believe that we have rigorous data protection systems in place, the best way of keeping data secure is not to collect data unless it is absolutely necessary. With this in mind we have
decided to stop collecting child specific data and to begin removing it from our systems. This unfortunately means ending sending out our birthday cards, with enclosed birthday vouchers, and this will begin from January 2026. We know the cards were a personal touch that was appreciated by many of you. Instead, we will be sending seasonal offers relevant to your family. So please keep an eye out on your door mat and in your inbox for our latest loyalty card offers. We will be removing your child’s data from January, and all child specific data will be removed from our system over the course of the next twelve months.
